The data covers a 60-day reporting period, but the sites were live for 33 days on average

The length of the reporting period and the days a site was live are two different things. All 53 sites were captured with a 60-day reporting period, but for the first 22 days, before the first site went live, every site had zero impressions. By the capture date, the sites had been live for 30–38 days, 33 on average.

This is Korean search data, taken from the Naver Search Advisor records of 53 Korean local-service sites. The tool reports a fixed recent reporting period, and it is easy to read the period's total as what a site earned over all of those days.

We recounted the 60-day reporting period of all 53 sites from the day each one went live: the number of days between the day its impressions rose from zero and the capture date.

Every site sat at zero for the first 22 days of the 60-day reporting period

Each blue column is the number of sites that went live that day. The shaded stretch is when every site was still at zero.

The 60-day total already includes the zeros from those first 22 days. In other words, the same total was produced in 33 days on average.

So how do you compare two sites that were live for different lengths of time?

  1. Put the reporting period's start date next to each site's go-live date.
  2. Drop the zero stretch in between and count the days actually live.
  3. Compare totals between sites with a similar number of days live. If the days differ, state the difference alongside the numbers.

Methodology

  • The go-live date (the day impressions rose from zero) and the capture date (2026-08-16) were both read from the Search Advisor chart; days live is one subtracted from the other.
  • The chart is daily, so go-live dates are accurate to the day.
  • The reporting period is the last 60 days and the capture date is 2026-08-16. All 53 sites share the same reporting period.
