Stage 3 · Citable documents
Documents AI answers can cite whole, with placements beyond your site
We write one document for each question your customers actually ask, with the answer at the very top so an AI answer can lift it as is. AI answers select whole documents from the web, and without a document worth selecting, you are not a candidate. We submit every document to search engines and build placements where it can be verified outside your site.
- 1Website migration
- 2Programmatic SEO
- 3Citable documents
The three stages are a sequence, not a menu. Citable documents builds on a finished Programmatic SEO.
Two or more of these means it’s time for citable documents
- Ask AI about your industry and it names competitors, never you
- You have plenty of blog posts but none that answer what customers actually ask
- New posts take months to show up in search
53 sites published in the same sequence all appeared in search after an average of 33 days (Naver Search Advisor)
What we do
What goes into every document
We work in order: each step finishes before the next begins, and you can also start with a single step.
- 01
One question, one document
The title is the exact question customers search. Pack five questions into one piece and AI can’t tell which answer to take, so it takes none of them.
- 02Answer
The answer first, in two or three sentences
AI answers extract the paragraph most likely to answer the question rather than copying a whole article. That paragraph needs to open the document in two or three sentences to be lifted cleanly. It is only a change of order, so it costs almost nothing and makes a real difference.
- 03
Four kinds of evidence in the body
What it is, what it costs, how it compares and how to do it. Documents cited in AI answers commonly carry all four, and having them in one place is what makes a document liftable.
- 04
The same content beyond your site
Anyone can write “we’re the best” on their own site. Search engines and AI have no way to verify it, so they give it little weight. We build placements so the same content can be seen outside your site.
Deliverables
What you have after the writing
These are the exact deliverables you receive. What you get, how many and to what spec are all settled before kickoff.
- Citable documents built to spec (your plan sets the count)
- Where each document is published, with URLs
- Registration status and sitemap results by search engine
- Regular reports on indexing status
Scope
What citable documents include
We write in a form AI answers can lift whole and publish it outside your site. The two items differ in where they are published: citable documents go on pages we build, and UGC content goes on platforms where user posts accumulate. The placements themselves come from External proof.

Questions
Common questions before you commission documents
If your question isn’t answered here, send it to us as it is and we’ll answer it the same way.
- How is this different from ordinary content writing?
- The work continues after the writing. Indexing is included, so we report registration status and indexing progress for each search engine. The planning unit differs too: documents are planned as overlapping clusters of questions, not as one-off pieces.
- What does it take to get cited?
- A document worth selecting has to exist on the web, and it has to be indexed. Those two things are what we build. What we deliver, how many, to what spec and when all go into the contract, and the search engine decides which documents it cites.
- Why publish outside our own site?
- Claims that exist only on your own site can’t be verified. When the same facts appear elsewhere, you become a source worth citing. Media coverage is the media’s decision; our scope is writing the documents and building the placements where they live.
- How is this different from posts on our own blog?
- We build both. The difference is where they accumulate. Content on your website and blog stays there as an asset, while citable documents are published outside and become evidence others can verify.
- How do we measure results?
- We measure indexing status and search results: how many of the pages we built are indexed and which queries they appear for, reported exactly as the webmaster tools show them. Measurement covers everything up to the search results page.
Next stages
What comes after the documents
Each stage pays off once the one before it is done. You can hire us for a single stage, and we start by checking where you are now.
- 01
Website migration
We move hand-built websites to a data-driven structure, with body text in the HTML crawlers receive and sitemaps and structured data built in.
- 02
Programmatic SEO
We list the queries customers actually search and build one data-backed page per query from a single template, starting with one cluster of 300–500 pages.
- 03You are hereCited
Citable documents
Citable documents with one direct answer per question, submitted to search engines and placed where they can be verified outside your own site.
We start by counting how many customer questions your site answers today
We open your site, check what is indexed and which queries it appears for, and reply with what to fix first.
